“…and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Liars are the staple diet of hell.
Liars lie to God, to themselves, and to others. Liars cannot but continue lying in order to keep their fiction a perceived reality. And if there is no peace even in this age for those who lie – how much more in the age to come! For the lying tongue is the destroyer of all who air its unending tales; it is the betrayer of all who think to wield it unto their own gain.
To lie is to attempt manipulating reality, it is to play-act as God in the most pitifully godless manner concievible. Because God’s truth is ever-compounding in its own riches, lies are ever-compounding in their inherent debt. With every lie, the already bottomless pit of the liar’s fate is digged infinitely deeper. A lie requires the evermore entangled and exanding web of its illusory kin just to keep the lair convinced that he or she is safe.
To lie is to commit a sin which is absurd above all others; it is the proud declaration of one’s complete blindness before the searching eyes of the Holy. “Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.” To lie is to live a lie: for lies are the very proclaimation of liars that they have determined to walk contrary to He whose very life is the truth.
There is no satisfaction in a lie except the promise of another lie; and every lie is yet another signature upon man’s declaration of independance from the rule of the Sovereign Lord unto the lawlessness of self-governance.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
